EYE2023: Ideas for a better Europe

EYE2021

EYE2023 is fast approaching - it will take place on 9 and 10 June! - and we’re looking forward to welcoming thousands of young people from all over the European Union and beyond to the European Parliament in Strasbourg and online, to share and shape their ideas on Europe’s future. 

Ahead of the event, we want to develop hundreds of ideas shared by young people like you on youthideas.eu. The platform was initially launched in 2018 to make young peoples’ voices heard on topics that matter. We’ve recently redesigned it, and you can now both share new ideas and develop existing ones by putting the spotlight on local organisations, projects and individuals working on them.  

 

How can you contribute? 

On youthideas.eu, you have the opportunity to: 

  • react to ideas and vote for your favourite ones; 

  • comment on and develop ideas and initiatives shared by other people; 

  • share examples of projects and good practices already working on existing ideas; 

  • find further information and resources related to the topics in the Youth Ideas Report; 

  • and submit new ideas! 

 

Planning to attend EYE2023? 

During the EYE, the ideas submitted on youthideas.com will take centre stage in the Ideas Hub. Located close to the Hemicycle, the  Ideas Hub is a dedicated space, where you’ll have the opportunity to get involved in various ways: 

  • in the Ideas Development Corner, you can develop and work on your ideas, talk to youth organisations and learn about existing opportunities; 

  • in the Networking and Chill-out Area, you can network and discuss your ideas with each other in a relaxed atmosphere; 

  • in the Expert Corner, you’ll have the opportunity to discuss your ideas with experts to fine-tune them and learn about relevant EU legislation and competencies;  

  • in the Digital Corner, you have the chance to submit your ideas and comments on youthideas.eu;  

  • finally, we’ll also have a Photo Area for your souvenir pic! 

 

Unable to attend EYE2023 in person? Don’t worry – you can still make your voice heard! During EYE2023, offline and online participants alike will be invited to contribute to the youthideas.eu platform via the EYE app and the mobile friendly version of the page. 

The most popular ideas discussed during EYE2023 will be published in the Youth Ideas Report written by young editors.  

 

Want to take an idea to the next stage?  

After the EYE, a team of volunteers called EYEdea boosters will be in charge of presenting the most popular ideas to MEPs and other relevant decision makers during the EYE Hearing in Brussels in autumn 2023. 

  

What happens after the EYE Hearing? 

Looking for ideas on the future of Europe doesn’t end after the EYE Hearing. Join together.eu to meet and connect with people who share your enthusiasm for Europe and take action on the issues and ideas you care about!
